Newtown Vietnamese Takeaway

This is one our favourite restaurants in Ipswich. Super delicious food, friendly family run business and excellent value for money. We treat ourselves to their rice paper rolls and Pho at least once a week. Will keep coming back.

📍 Newtown Vietnamese Takeaway in Ippy This was my first time hitting the establishment that is nestled in the neighbourhood of Newtown, Ipswich. Driving up and walking in gave me a comforting feeling of walking into a well established Viet foodary in Australia. Watching the staff bang out banh mi whilst I waited, was reassuring as my old girls night time hug as the Viet mayo and home made mayo was lashed on. I chose the crispy roast pork rendition as I just had the same at Scott’s in Darra on the weekend and I wanted to do a comparo. It had the right balance of spreadables, veg, a sprinkle of heat from the chili paste and all with a healthy lashing of pig. In saying that, the pork was a little tough and no crackling was seen. Overall a good little find in Ippy and something I would hit again in the future. I definitely need to give their beef pho a red hot shot. 7.5/10

We get take away almost once a week now. The salad and pho are really tasty. Never sick of them. Just one thing I would like to see is if the kitchen staffs use tools instead of hand that would be great for hygiene. Just a little suggestion. Thanks for making tasty food!

Excellent pho and Vietnamese noodles. Chips had something awesome sprinkled on them! Very good food in general and not too pricey. Definitely the best Vietnamese place in Ipswich.

Hubby and I dropped into this Newtown Vietnamese Takeaway on Friday. We both ordered the Crispy Roast Pork Belly Banh Mi. So good! The roll is super crispy and light, and everything taste so fresh. They also sell Pho and if I had more time, we would have tried that also.
